Sabi nga ni Maya Angelou, "When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed."

According to him, he PR Practitioner and he established RPA & Communicate where he mastered the ropes of the lifestyle industry.  Thus, it gave him the chance to hobnob with some of the country’s known celebrities in society, showbiz, business, politics and media.  It also brought out the friendliest and most intuitive side of his personality as captured on-cam in his latest quest as lifestyle TV host.

What makes a It's More Fun with Philip different to the other lifestyle show? “It’s a lifestyle show that makes the audience experience the delicious food we eat, the wonderful places we visit, the latest gadgets we try, the latest fashion, the beauty fixes, and the spa treatments we enjoyed. It’s a show that gives the audience the chance to win these experiences and thus, share with them all the lifestyle aspects we featured in the show,” Philip Abadicio said.

Aside from that Philip Abadicio added that "there are a lot of things to be discovered by Filipinos from all walks of life" and it’s an eye-opener on how life can be lived in style and with loads of fun. “We hope to provide a lifestyle show where we all learn and be more conscious of the beautiful, inspiring and delicious things around us. It’s a show that I’m hoping will educate, entertain and inspire all of us,” he explains.

I saw the sign, Whatchathink?, Anu Kaya Kung.. at Weblog.

Movie Stars Café

Im so glad that I invited last 12 of July for the Grand opening of the Movie Stars Café at SM Mall of Asia Seaside. And Guess what, I didn't expect the place but so happy for what I saw, its really amazing from the main entrance to the staff/crew and ofcourse to the humble Chef Jonathan Jota.

Before anything else what is Movie Stars Café, how its started?

Movie Stars Café is the Manila branch of an international Japanese franchise.
A Studio Café that offers a Hollywood-like experience through a movie-themed ambience.

Showcasing life-sized figures and props from different movies and hundreds of framed autographs that surround every corner of the restaurant, we serve dining not only through our exceptional dishes but with an entertaining flavor of a surreal mix of fact and fantasy. With our 300-seater capacity, our Café is like a big studio that comes with a multi-dimensional variety of sensory delights. Aural cravings are satisfied with a playlist comprised of the owner’ s own selection of movie soundtracks; visual treats are provided by the non-stop performances punctuated with brief interludes; and a feast for the taste buds is in store with
our film and celebrity-inspired menu, prepared our Master Chefs, served to you by our ever
friendly servers which we refer to as “Actors” who also double as performers and cosplayers.

Here the photos of the grand opening of Movie Stars Café.

Here the yummy and delicious foods of Movie Stars Café

Movie Stars Café brings you grand, Hollywood-scale production numbers to remember

Everybody loves an exhilarating performance. That is something that we believe in and with this in mind, being the newest and classiest gallery café in Manila, we decided to stage snippets of productions based on some of the most beloved Hollywood productions like the tragic musical “Phantom of the Opera” which has been adapted to film and the sprightly “Grease” about two lovers in a 1950s high school.

Aside from the aforementioned, we also take pride in putting together our very own version of the Disney animated epic “Lion King,” and vignettes provided by such iconic movie characters as Barbie, Spiderman, Darth Vader from “Star Wars” and Ironman.
And the even bigger treat is that you can enjoy all these fantastic production numbers without paying for an admission ticket. You can even bring your friends and loved ones to dine and wine while watching our talented and ingenious cast and production staff weave magic on the vast stage of a one-of-a-kind dining and entertainment venue.

Theater actor and director Terrence Guillermo as the Phantom and soprano Jenny Garcia as his inamorata Christine relieve the drama, the mystery, and the heartbreak as the star-crossed lovers of “Phantom of the Opera.” It will be a thrill to hear the familiar love anthem “All I Ask of You.” Versatile singer Philip Deles plays Raoul while Miguel Mendoza of “Pinoy Dream
Academy Season 2” alternates with Guillermo in the coveted role of the Phantom. Hazel Grace Maranan and Marielle Mamaclay are part of the ensemble.

“Grease,” however, invites you to take a stroll down memory lane as Geoff Taylor, grand winner of the GMA-7 singing star search “Are You The Next Big Star?” and Genesis Jane Ryan, the talented younger sister of TV star Princess Ryan, portray Danny and Sandy which were brought to life in the original film version by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, respectively. Coming--of-age songs like “Summer Nights,” “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” and “You’re the One That I Want” are sure to put the crowd in a nostalgic mood. Meanwhile, in our take on “The Lion King,” you’ ll get to encounter once again the well-loved characters from the Pride Lands like Simba, Mufasa, and Nala and the unforgettable movie theme “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” Marvel at the costumes and props, some of which were imported from Japan and the others especially made by the townsfolk of Paete, Laguna, the wood-carving capital of the Philippines. Allan Dale Alojipan and Fil-Italian looker Ilaria Pandolfi headline the big cast.

Bakit Di Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo The Movie

1. Panget ka.
2. Masama ugali mo.
3. May shota siya.
4. May shota ka.
5. Bakla/Tomboy siya.
6. ‘Di kayo match sa horoscope.
8. High maintenance ka.
9. Trip mo yung mga ayaw nyang TV shows.
10. Wala ka sa radar A.K.A. Hindi ka nya napapansin.

Simply put, the best revenge is to live an awesome life.

The only stupid question is the question that is never asked.

Life is fun if you just find out how.

Utak, puso at bird.

“Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo” isa a ‘self-help’ comedy movie about the lives of brainy ‘ugly duckling’ employee Sandy Veloso (Kim) and his rich and dashing boss Alex Prieto (Xian).

From an interesting encounter, the boss and the assistant will find themselves sealing a deal–Sandy will help Alex learn the ropes for him to effectively run their company, while Alex helps Sandy learn to play the practical game of dating and relationships for her to get back on her ex-boyfriend Gardo and not get her heart broken ever again.

I really enjoy the food and tea not because its not typical for the event that I attend and ofcourse the setting of the table, you will really feel that you are part of the world of Alice the Wonderland.

And one for interesting thing in the stage was how they carry they costume because they told us that the costume really heavy easily for the character of the Queen of Hearts.

Casa Guevarra

If you're looking for a place to hold an event that manages to marry both old-world charm and a new-world gastronomical adventure – look no further than Guevarra's
From near indecent hemlines to the fringe and bling that I have seen on the runway and in Hollywood movies, I have observed a marked renewal of interest in the fashion and lifestyle of the 1920's. A conscious effort is made to honor vintage inspiration while creating a modern twist on the old fashion or style.

However, not just anyone can pull this off and that is why I was pleasantly surprised to find a place that managed to combine both modern tastes and vintage design sensibilities so seamlessly.

Guevarra's in San Juan was a delightful place to explore – even though I got weird looks from people who were wondering why I was wandering around the place without a plate in hand.
The twenties in recent pop culture
Movies such as the Great Gatsby, portraying the excesses of what was known as the Roaring Twenties have only served to fuel the fire of revivalist fad-seekers. Even more mainstream (and more recently-written) hits like the Twilight Series feature elements of the 1920s as evidenced by the constant reminder of the lead hottie, Edward Cullen, being turned in 1918 – which, if you look at time in terms of art periods, means he was experiencing the tail end of the Art Nouveau period and the gradual rise of Art Deco.

Here what inside the Casa Guevarra.

A brief background on Art Deco and Art Nouveau in the 1920s (and 1940s)
The Art Nouveau period was all sinuous lines and natural inspirations – while Art Deco took on a more industrial, linear facade that did away with the “old”. The Age of Industrialization gave birth to gems of architecture such as the Chrysler building and, a little closer to home, buildings like the Manila Metropolitan Theater.

The Manila Metropolitan Theater was built in 1935 but don't be confused about the dates not neatly matching up with the rise of Art Deco – keep in mind that technology and information were not as easily shared, re-blogged or re-tweeted back then.
The 1920s was a marriage of the craftsmanship and material excess of the previous periods with the technological and scientific breakthroughs that came with the age of the machines.
It's no wonder that most homes inspired by or built during this period have such contrasting influences – the linear look of typical Art Deco architecture and design with the curves and natural motifs of Art Nouveau constrained within.

Guevarra's - a place full of history, a place captured in time

If you're looking for a place that captures that feeling of affluence and old-world charm – look no further than Guevarra's in San Juan. Located on P. Guevarra street, the converted 1940's home used to house a spa in the basement but the whole space is now taken up by Chef Laudico's newest venture into haute Filipino cuisine – buffet style.

Guevarra's is a typical 1940's Filipino home – we can see evidence of both Chinese and Spanish influence in its architecture and interior design. The current owners decided to whitewash the walls to bring out the beauty of the details that were left bare – from the symmetrical wood paneling to the prominent wooden arch decorated with sinuous, riotous vines.
The huge and literally “picture” windows feature images of former senator, Pedro Guevarra, the restaurant's namesake. I hear that it's kind of creepy at night with the light shining from within, but I went during the day and it was fun to spot little details in the images that hold true up to this day – like how people still love taking group pictures (although at that time it was a necessity since cameras and film were so expensive) and the token “political handshake” photo is not just something we came up with in our shutter-crazy frenzy.
A place for making memories.

Whether you're looking for a place to host a wedding, small meeting, debut, birthday party – or really, just any other kind of event that involves a lot of food and a lot of people – why not consider Guevarra's?
Not only will you walk away with a full belly – you will also have a beautiful backdrop for your photo memories, a “must” in this Insta-everything day and age.

Boses The Movie

Si Onyok (playing the role of Julian Duque)
